MAR.   Installed "solar-powered and grid-connected EV charger" at Nishikyogoku Sports Park in Kyoto City as the first attempt.
JUL.   Installed the first"solar-powered and grid-connected dual rate EV charger with high / regular speed steps equipped with power storage bank", carbon-free EV charging solution, at the Kyoto Prefectural Office.
AUG.   Marked the 60th anniversary of the company's foundation.

JAN.   The "LEAF to Home" power supply system of Nissan Motor Co, Ltd. won the "METI (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) Minister's Award in Japan's Energy Conservation Prize" program. The power control system of "LEAF to Home" uses the EVPower Station made by NICHICON.
MAR.   Merged NICHICON (NAGANO) CORPORATION with NICHICON (OHNO) CORPORATION.
APR.   The SACLA (SPring-8 Angstrom Compact free electron LAser) facility of the RIKEN Harima Institute, which contains power equipment provided by NICHICON, won the MEXT (Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) Prize in the 42nd Japan Industrial Grand Prix.
SEP.   Expanded lineup for "Socket Model of EVPower Station," the world's first system double-speed EV charger with power supply socket. *As of Sep., 2013 researched by Nichicon.
OCT.   Received the Semi-Grand-Prix Award at the "CEATEC AWARD 2013" for "Smart Agriculture Network System : Emergence of Senary Industries in Opposition to TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership )".

DEC.   Expanded line-up with a release of advanced function model "Vehicle-to-Home" system (EVPower Station)which is eqipped with a remote controller and can also use together with cogeneration systems such as ENE-FARM*.

2014
FEB.   Started the first full-scale operation of Agricultural Charging Station in Japan under the joint-development with Mitsubishi Motors Corp.
MAR.   Delivered Large-sized capacitor bank system for the generation of pulsed high magnetic to Osaka University.
JUL.   "EVPower Station" enables to connect with Mitsubishi Motors EVs. Therby its applications to EV is getting more expanded.

SEP.   Started Monitoring and control of power storage systems and other environment-related products using IBM Japan's cloud based solution.
OCT.   Developed a silicon carbide (SiC) power conversion module though an industry-academia-government collaboration.
NOV.   Developed solar-powered EV charging stations, equipped with power storage batteries and disaster emergency boxes. These were installed in 3 new locations including roadside stations. Renewable-energy-powered EV charging stations offer greater convenience to tourists and residents.
2016
