NICHICON CORPORATION has added a 25V rating to the UCH Series, which is a chip –type aluminum electrolytic capacitor. This series is a Low ESR product at end of life that guarantees the industry’s highest level of performance of 2,000 hours at 125°C. It has an optimized lifecycle with high- and low-temperature ESR regulation and is recommended for the harsh demands of the automotive and transportation markets.
This product will be on display at the 33rd Power System exhibition, being held at Makuhari Messe from Wednesday April 18, to Friday, April 20.
Overview / Development Background
The automobile and transportation-related areas is experiencing an increasing demand for chip type aluminum electrolytic capacitors for engine and drivetrain peripheral ECUs amid rapid advances in devices represented by electronic controls and ADAS. There is a growing need for compatibility with harsh in-vehicle environments in terms of high-temperature response, low-ESR characteristics at low temperatures and long life.
Expanding ratings in this series contributes to energy-saving, longer life devices and responds to demands for high-temperature operation enabling the securing of space inside vehicles.
Features
Based on the technologies developed up to now, these products realize the industry’s highest capacity low-ESR by adopting low-evaporation/low resistance electrolytic solutions and high-magnification anode foil. This series contributes to device automotive environment compatibility, power saving and long life. Endurance is guaranteed up to 2,000 hours at 125°C (after endurance testing ESR φ6.3 × 7.7L: 6Ω, φ8 × 10L: 4.5 Ω, φ10 × 10L: 3.5 Ω at -40°C/400 kHz).
